Your Aventurine Eyes
Your Aventurine Eyes Your Aventurine Eyes, confounds me so. like the lush green of the sea, I burst through the surface, tasting salt on skin and lips. Your Aventurine Eyes, crinkle in the shimmering light. But for the likes of mine, only a bedazzlement, only fit for sight. It hurts me so not to call you mine, but a golden heart of yours should not be undermined. I possess, I confine. I want your aventurine eyes on mine. But to yoke oneself off from instinct, is truly a test for the foolhardy. (Such as I!) But if, I am allowed to see more half-moons, and more frowning smiles, by Gods, by heavens, I will oblige. For hope that your aventurine eyes, will someday land on mine. (Thai Basil Minced Beef with Rice, a Fried Egg and Spring Onions for garnish.)
